The history of Yeguada Senillosa, begins on the beach of the Bay of Roses, when first acquiring horses to walk tourists, in our hotel facilities. As the tourist season is known by everyone that it lasts 3 or 4 months, when the work of walking tourists was finished, the horses were released from autumn to spring, in the park «Els Aiguamolls de l’Empordà». The following year in spring they regrouped again, this time all the mares with their harrows (young).
That is how, broadly speaking, my love of horse breeding began. This stage lasted, I think I remember about 10 years. The next stage occurred when I bought five mares from María Fernanda Escalera de la Escalera around 1977, since I was a friend of Manolo Novales.
Today, after 30 years of morphological competitions I have more than tanned skin and I have learned that morphological competitions are especially interesting to compare our horses with those of other herds, giving relative importance to the prizes obtained.
